Congratulations to the Centenary SHS Symphonic Band and Mrs Zorzetto on their outstanding performance at the Fanfare Metro South Finals today!

Whilst we did not progress to the State Finals, being selected and recognised as one of the top seven ensembles from more than 270 groups across our region - placing us in the top 2% - is an exceptional achievement!

Well done to everyone on your success - you have made our school community incredibly proud.

We are thrilled to congratulate Sophie on her selection in the 2026 Queensland Merit Team following an outstanding performance at the Queensland Representative School Sport (QRSS) 15–17 Years AFL State Championships.

Sophie began her junior football journey with the Jindalee Jags Under 11s before joining the Sherwood Magpies in Under 15s. Now captain of the Sherwood Magpies Under 17 Division 1 team, her selection in the Queensland Merit Team is a fitting reward for her dedication, leadership and commitment to continually improving her game.

This year also marked Sophie’s first selection in the Met West team, making her progression to Queensland honours an incredible achievement. We are proud of the way Sophie represents both her school and club and congratulate her on this well-deserved recognition!

🏉🏅⭐ UMPIRE - STATE CHAMPS! 🏉🏅⭐

A huge congratulations to Alicia on an outstanding achievement at the Queensland Representative School Sport (QRSS) 15–17 Years AFL State Championships.

Starting her umpiring journey with the Jindalee Jags just two years ago, Alicia impressed throughout the four-day carnival, earning selection as the field umpire for the Girls Grand Final before being named Umpire of the Carnival!

In her first year umpiring with AFL Queensland, and having only recently returned from injury, this recognition is a testament to her hard work, resilience and dedication to the game.

A fantastic achievement and one she should be incredibly proud of. Well done, Alicia!

🎥⭐🎺 CREATIVE GENERATION 🎺⭐🎥

The talented students representing Centenary at the spectacular Creative Generation State Schools Onstage are less than a month away from taking to the stage!

Over the past few months, they have dedicated countless hours to rehearsals - both with the state cast and ensembles, and in their own time, to prepare for this incredible experience.

Milana (Year 11), a member of the Media Crew, recently enjoyed an exciting behind-the-scenes visit to the Channel 9 studios as part of the program.

Oscar (Year 12), performing in both the Big Band and Symphony Orchestra, had the unforgettable opportunity to rehearse with and learn from legendary Australian musician James Morrison.

We are so proud of their commitment, talent and hard work, and can't wait to see them shine on stage next month!
