🤴🏻 I found the King of Cannon Hill!

Under 8’s Day at Cannon Hill State School was packed with fun activities, from craft and outdoor play to pretending to be patients in the ambulance and sitting in the police car drivers seat. 🚨

My personal favourite was the Army display, where the kids had their face painted, grabbed a walkie-talkie and explored an incredible exhibit put together by our local Army Reserves. 🪖📻

A massive thank you to our local teachers. You’re always going above and beyond to create memorable experiences for our local kids. ❤️❤️

A beautiful morning at the Lord Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast, bringing people together from across Brisbane to pray for our city, our leaders and our community.

A special thank you to San Sisto College, Tingalpa Uniting Church, and Chappy Josh from Carina State School for coming along.

The morning also raised funds for Zephyr Education, an incredible charity helping children whose education has been disrupted by domestic violence get back to school with the essentials they need, including school bags, uniforms, stationery and supplies.

A heartfelt thank you to the Lord Mayor’s Office and everyone involved in bringing this special event together.

This week we broke ground on the Carina Women’s Shed - a space three years in the making. 🌱

Back in 2023, 200 local women came together with Cr Lisa Atwood to share one vision: a place of their own to learn, create and connect.

On Wednesday, with shovels in hand, we got to start building it.

We are proud to bring this vision to life alongside the partners involved and every woman who shaped this from day one.
