People First Party believes in supporting parents to raise their children and making the choices they need for their families. FIFO workers, shift workers and part-time workers should not be disadvantaged with their care arrangements, and for some families, the subsidy could support a parent to stay at home and raise their own children.

There are many reasons mums and dads can’t or don’t want to access child care. People First values families and your choice.

You will keep more of your money when you vote for People First Party and we slash income tax for all Australians, allow income splitting and make superannuation voluntary. Individuals who are financially strong make stronger families, stronger communities and a stronger Australia.

If you get to keep more of your money you worked hard for by reducing taxes and voluntary super, you will be able to look after you families and your own communities far better than Canberra and it will directly stimulate and grow Australia’s economy.

Lifting the tax-free threshold to $45000 means you will keep approx $4000 more in your pocket. And when you income split, that means families will be able to earn up to $90000 tax free. Making Super voluntary means you can work at paying off your home or saving for that deposit quicker now when you need it.

We hear it every where we go. You love Gerard. You’ve followed him since Covid. You think People First Party policies are great. You believe in them. You know they will make a difference to your life, your family, your community and Australia. You want him to be PM. But you just don’t think we have the numbers to make an impact and you really want to make sure there is a change in government at the next election. You don’t want to mess this up. So you’re just going to put another party first.

You’re right that it would be a miracle if People First Party became a major party at the next election. It would probably be one of the biggest upsets in political history if Gerard became Prime Minister at the next election. But that’s not always the goal. Good representation matters. Good policies matter. Holding parties to account matters. All parties need opposition. Even the one everyone votes for. By putting us first and choosing who you would next prefer after that, is not a wasted vote. It sends a message. It lets other parties know what matters to you. It lets us know you support what we are doing and what we are bringing to the table and it helps us to keep going, to keep building, to keep moving forward. We know how much Australia needs change. We want it too. And you can get that with People First candidates in the lower house and in the Senate alongside other representatives from other parties you might put second.
