Today, Aitkenvale State School proudly joins communities across Australia in recognising World Refugee Day.

This year’s Australian theme, “Finding Freedom: Diversity in Community”, celebrates the strength, courage and contributions of refugees who have found safety, belonging and opportunity in their new communities.

🏕️ SCHOOL CAMP PAYMENT REMINDER 🏕️

A reminder to all Year 5 and Year 6 families that final payments for the upcoming school camp to Daradgee Environmental Education Centre are due this Friday.

To ensure your child’s placement on camp, please finalise any outstanding payments by the due date.

We are looking forward to providing our students with an exciting opportunity to learn, explore and create lasting memories together.

🏉 STATE OF ORIGIN DRESS UP DAY 🏉

Students and staff are invited to dress in sun-safe clothing for Rugby League State of Origin on Wednesday 17th June!

Wear maroon to support Queensland or blue to support New South Wales. Who will take the win this year? 💙❤️

Please ensure all clothing is school appropriate:

✔️ No offensive slogans
✔️ No midriffs

We can’t wait to see the team spirit on display! 🖤💚

Preppies were treated to a mini concert at eating time yesterday from our wonderful string orchestra. We loved listening to the violins and cellos.

🎉 Silver Day is coming! 🎉

On **Thursday 18th June**, eligible students will enjoy a special day of fun activities to celebrate their achievements and positive behaviour throughout the term.

Students will participate in activities based on their Silver Day point totals:

⭐ **50 Points** – Movie and Popcorn (RIO)
⭐ **100 Points** – Indoor and Outdoor Games
⭐ **150 Points** – Arts and Crafts (Paver Painting)
⭐ **200 Points** – iPads, Laptops and Computers (depending on numbers)
⭐ **250 Points** – Cooking – Ice Cream in a Bag

We are proud of the effort our students put into being respectful, responsible and safe every day. Silver Day is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate their success and have some fun together!
