Ajax Fire and Emergency Services

Last week, Ajax Fire and Emergency Services joined partners from PARA Marine, Durham Regional Police Marine Unit and JRCC Trenton Air and Sea for a joint water rescue training exercise along the Ajax waterfront.

The exercise simulated a multi-agency emergency response involving an overturned kayak-type vessel off the shore of Rotary Park, helping strengthen coordination, communication and preparedness on the water.

Thank you to all participating agencies for their collaboration and commitment to community safety.

- Fireworks can only be set off from 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.
- Fireworks are not allowed on public property.

is raising awareness about fire safety with the Get Real Ajax campaign!

From April 21 – June 5, select households will get an info. card & a visit from Ajax firefighters to help educate residents about fire safety and fire-related problems in their community.

Recently, Heads Up Durham shared their 10th anniversary newsletter, which includes Durham Region’s P.A.R.T.Y. program (Prevent Alcohol and Risk-Related Trauma Among Youth).

The P.A.R.T.Y. Program was launched in 2020 and is a vital component of the growing community effort to reduce death and injury in alcohol, drug and risk-related crashes and incidents.

is proud to sit on the sub-committee for this invaluable program and hosted Durham Region’s first ever P.A.R.T.Y. Program in March 2023!
