Come out and have a good time for a good cause. Good for shore is having a fundraiser on the weekend to raise money for our ongoing efforts to deliver free meals to anyone who signs up in the Bayshore area no questions asked. We provide community meals either delivered to your door or dine in at the Youngs Cove hall.

There is a public meeting today in Parkers Cove at the Thread and Thimble Club. I plan to be there to record the meeting for those who are unable to attend. Only those who attend the meetings are allowed to vote so I will also inquire about more accessible options to vote on the survey. Annapolis County Residents United

locations to provide an opportunity for local residents to share their thoughts on the
number of councillors and governance that Annapolis County should have in the next
election in 2028. More details are on the back of this paper. All meetings will take

A shared letter in regard to the results of the survey asking about mayor vs warden and the size of the council as per the mandatory requirement to assess these issues every 8 years.
The council had decided that the response of 400 people was somewhat insignificant in the grand scheme of things being1% of the population of Annapolis County. They also assumed that anyone who did not complete the survey was happy with the status quo.
I would like to add just for a reference when it comes to surveys that there were only 231 people who completed the survey for the "Plannapolis" re-zoning project and there wasn't the same assumption made that those who didn't complete it were happy to leave things the way they are, that was not considered in this case. The 400 people was actually a record number of responses as far as municipal surveys are concerned.
Currently there is a plan to send out another survey, this time they will be limiting the options to choose between 9, 10, or 11 councillors. They will not be addressing the mayor vs. warden issue at this time. Even though in the previous survey there was a majority in favour of both mayor and a council smaller than 9.
