Four Research-Based Tips for Feeding Horses with EMS Two main goals of feeding horses with equine metabolic syndrome (EMS) are weight management and lowering the amount of nonstructural carbohydrates—easily digestible sugars—to minimize the body’s insulin response to meals.

We always have a variety of Transfeeder compressed bales available. Diet (tested low sugar), Gentle (second cut grass), Sport Horse (first cut grass) and Sport Horse Plus (first cut grass with 15% alfalfa), and EasyBed straw.

What have we been up to (aside from horses, of courses)? So many tomatoes! Farmer Bob could not resist a good deal on these seedlings, and they have been planted in a sheep-proof location, so we might be looking at a bumper crop. 🍅🍅🍅
