When you give to Ancaster Community Services, you can give with confidence thanks to the Imagine Canada Trustmark.

Imagine Canada is the only national accreditation for not-for-profits that was built by the sector, for the sector. Holding this accreditation is an ongoing commitment to high standards of governance, accountability and transparency. It means the community we serve, the donors who support us and the volunteers who share their time can feel confident about how we operate.

Ancaster Little League recently held a food drive in support of the Ancaster Food Bank and they collected an incredible 120 lbs of food! ⚾🥫💙

As food bank demand continues to grow, community initiatives like this are needed to keep our shelves stocked. Every donation helps support residents experiencing food insecurity, and every act of generosity helps build a more caring and connected Ancaster. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this initiative a success!

26% of people with disabilities report some level of household food insecurity. During National AccessAbility Week, we recognize that accessibility includes access to healthy food and daily essentials.

As the cost of living continues to rise, the need for accessible and compassionate food support has never been greater. The Food Assistance Program (Food Bank) helps support community members facing financial hardship, including many living with disabilities, chronic illness or mobility challenges.

Grocery costs are rising and every dollar matters… not only for the families we serve but also for the many families who support us. We have put together a list of most-needed food bank items along with current sale prices from local grocery store flyers. A small saving at checkout can make a big difference for a neighbour in need. Thank you for helping us stretch every dollar, every donation and every act of kindness a little bit further.

Donation bins are located at each of the grocery stores included in this list (Ancaster Food Basics, Ancaster Giant Tiger and Ancaster Longo’s). Donations (unexpired, unopened, non-perishable grocery items only) can be brought to Ancaster Community Services at 300 Wilson Street East, Ancaster (Monday-Friday, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm). There is a donation bin located in the lower foyer.
