CDC-Lofa County Announces Major Press Conference for May 28, 2026.

The Lofa Chapter of Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) has scheduled a major press conference for Thursday, May 28, 2026, to officially respond to a petition presented during the launch of NIMBO by a group of Lofians claiming to be leaders of the CDC-Lofa Chapter.

During the launch of NIMBO, a group founded by Thomas Fallah, several individuals identifying themselves as CDC members publicly announced their resignation from the party and declared support for NIMBO.

In a statement read by Varney Addy, the group claimed to be executive members of CDC in Lofa County. Deputy Speaker Fallah also reportedly described Lofa County as a “no-go zone” for CDC in upcoming elections.

Following those remarks, some senior members of the party in Lofa dismissed both the position statement and Fallah’s comments as false and misleading.

According to the newly appointed Acting Chairman of CDC-Lofa, Korluba B. Akoi the party will officially clarify its position during the press conference scheduled for 2:00 PM tomorrow.
