H.E. Major General Ahmed Nasser, President of AASC/UCSA, praised the productive outcomes of his meeting with H.E the Minister of Youth and Sports, Captain Gohar Nabil, held in the presence of Dr. Emad El-Banany, AASC Secretary General, and Nada Mashaal, AASC Executive Director, and all honorable MOYS’ relevant officials to review preparations for hosting the African Games Egypt 2027.

On his part, AASC President commended His Excellency Minister’s strong efforts, noting that the ongoing work reflects a highly professional organizational vision and Egypt’s readiness, supported by its advanced infrastructure and human capabilities, to deliver a world-class event.

Furthermore, AASC President emphasized that Egypt is on track to host an unprecedented edition of the African Games, driven by rapid progress, close coordination among stakeholders, and adherence to the highest international standards.

He also highlighted the strong support from African and international sports federations, reinforcing Egypt’s leading position in hosting major global sporting events.

Ultimately, AASC President emphasized the African Games as a tool of soft power, strengthening cooperation and unity across the continent, and affirmed full confidence from all partners in Egypt’s ability to deliver an exceptional and historic edition.

His Excellency President Major General Ahmed Nasser attends The Islamic Solidarity Games Riyadh 2025

It was a great honor and joy to take part in segments of the Islamic Solidarity Games, not only as one of the leaders of Egyptian, Arab, African, and international sport, but also as an eyewitness and participant in several previous editions.
President Nasser also extends his heartfelt congratulations to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its leadership and people especially to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques H.H King Salman bin Abdulaziz, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, President of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation and Minister of Sport, Prince Fahad bin Jalawi, President of the Organizing Committee, Mr. Nasser Al-Majali, Secretary-General of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation; and all working teams for the outstanding organization of this edition and its remarkable sports events and meetings.

Also, congratulations are extended to Egypt for its honorable participation in the Games, which is modest in number, yet great in results and achievements, and for the participation of His Excellency Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, in the Opening Ceremony, which had a clear positive impact in motivating the Egyptian athletes.

It also gives great pleasure to commend Eng. Yasser Idris, President of the Egyptian Olympic Committee, for his unopposed re-election for a second term as a member of the Executive Bureau of the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees, presided over by His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, with the full confidence of the General Assembly.

It was magnificent, well-planned, and artistically refined at the highest level, delivering a universal message affirming that “the world is one — undivided by religion, belief, or politics.” The artistic segments were exceptional, highlighted by the participation of the great Egyptian composer Omar Khairat, and by the profound mutual respect among all participants.

The hospitality and warmth were unparalleled — from the airport to the hotels and competition venues. Genuine smiles everywhere made you feel truly at home among family.

Perfectly punctual and meticulously organized. I was honored to take part in the swimming medal ceremonies, where our champions Farida Osman and Abdelrahman triumphed in consecutive races — a moment of immense pride for Egypt 🇪🇬.

🏡 Athletes’ Village:
A level of organization that exceeded expectations — matching Olympic standards in precision, comfort, and attention to the needs of all participants, including athletes, administrators, coaches, media representatives, doctors, and visitors.

🛡️ Security:
A constant sense of safety and reassurance, with top-tier security arrangements and flawless coordination.

🌍 Guests:
Numerous high-profile sports figures and leaders from Olympic, Arab, and international circles — and everywhere, only positivity and excellence in every detail.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia delivered a nearly perfect edition — perfection belongs only to God — yet the professionalism and organizational success we witnessed made us all proud.
This experience confirms that Saudi Arabia is fully ready to host the world’s greatest sporting events, and perhaps, one day, even the Olympic Games.
