♻️ Exciting Progress at Nakasi Market! ♻️
Construction is underway for a new Return and Earn Facility at Nakasi Market, providing the community with a convenient way to recycle eligible cans and bottles while earning money at the same time.
Once operational, members of the public will be able to return eligible cans and bottles and receive 5 cents for each container returned. This initiative will help reduce litter, promote responsible waste management, and encourage recycling throughout the Nakasi and greater Nausori area.
The facility represents another positive step towards creating cleaner public spaces, protecting our environment, and supporting Fiji’s circular economy by turning recyclable waste into a valuable resource.
We encourage residents, businesses, schools, and community groups to start collecting their eligible cans and bottles and take advantage of this opportunity to contribute to a cleaner environment while earning rewards.

Today, our hardworking Nausori Town Council team was out in full force at Dilkhusha Ward, carrying out essential drain clearing works to keep our community clean and reduce flooding. 💧🛠️
Despite the weather, these dedicated workers removed debris, cleared blockages, and restored proper water flow through the drainage system. Their efforts play a crucial role in preventing flooding, reducing health risks, and maintaining a safe environment for all residents.
We kindly remind everyone that keeping our drains clear is a SHARED RESPONSIBILITY. Please dispose of waste properly and avoid littering, as blocked drains can quickly undo the hard work put in by our teams.
