Exciting news from Naitasiri! A significant milestone was reached today with the Groundbreaking (First Concrete Pouring) Ceremony for a brand-new 3-classroom building at Lomaivuna High School.

Made possible through the support of the Government and People of Japan, through its Grants Assistance for Grassroot and Human Security Projects (GGP), this project will greatly enhance the learning environment for over 360 students from surrounding villages and settlements. Through the provision of 3-classroom building and furniture (120 sets of desks and chairs for students, 3 sets of desks and chairs for teachers) to the school, it will also contribute to a safer and more comfortable education and learning environment.

The ceremony was officiated by H.E. Hiroshi TAJIMA, Ambassador of Japan to Fiji, and Mr. Ilaisa WAQALALA, Divisional Educational Officer Central, Ministry of Education.

A heartfelt Vinaka vakalevu and thank you to our partners, the school community, and everyone involved in making this project a reality for our children’s future!
