Our Summer Food Bank Appeal is back!

We're planning to help the many families who need some support during the summer holidays, and your donations are invaluable to us.

The list of items to donate is in the poster or visit bglife.co.uk/our-events for more information.

You can donate at Abertillery, Ebbw Vale or Tredegar Sports Centres or at one of the amazing five local sports clubs that are supporting us.

Diolch yn fawr iawn i De Big Den am gynnal un o'n biniau rhoi Ystafell Cit Cymunedol yn eu siop ailddefnyddio newydd yng Nghanolfan Gwastraff Cartref ac Ailgylchu Cwm Newydd. 👏⚽👟

Gall ymwelwyr nawr roi dillad chwaraeon ac esgidiau diangen, gyda phob eitem wedi'i golchi, ei glanhau a'i pharatoi ar gyfer ei berchennog nesaf o fewn cymuned Blaenau Gwent.

Mae hyn yn ehangu ar lwyddiant ein bin rhoi gwreiddiol yn De Den, Canolfan Ailgylchu Roseheyworth, gan helpu i leihau gwastraff a gwneud chwaraeon yn fwy hygyrch i bawb ar draws ein cymunedau. 💚♻️

A huge thank you to The Big Den for hosting one of our Community Kit Room donation bins at their new reuse shop at New Vale Household Waste & Recycling Centre. 👏⚽👟

Visitors can now donate unwanted sportswear and footwear, with every item washed, cleaned and prepared for its next owner within the Blaenau Gwent community.

This expands on the success of our original donation bin at The Den, Roseheyworth Recycling Centre, helping to reduce waste and make sport more accessible for all across our communities. 💚♻️

A huge thank you to Brecon Athletic Club and everyone who took part in the Llanfrynach Road Race Series, for generously donating their pre-loved sportswear and footwear.🏃🏃‍♀️

It was fantastic to meet Annabel and Cara at our Community Kit Room in Abertillery Sports Centre and receive the donations in person. These contributions will help support individuals and families with their health, sport and fitness journey. 🤝

As the Community Kit Room relies solely on donations to remain sustainable, this support has had a huge impact on the overall aims of the initiative and will help us continue providing access to essential sporting kit for those who need it most. 👟👕

We hope everyone who took part enjoyed the races and had a fantastic experience throughout the series! 👏

Have you heard of a community kit room before?

This has been the initiative in parts of the valleys in making sports more accessible for all. Various leisure centres in the Blaenau Gwent area are putting together these rooms and they need your help!!!

With only a few days to go towards our last race in the Llanfrynach series have a look through your sports clothing and see what
you can donate. You can bring your donation to the hall on Tuesday night!
