🎶 Get ready to turn up the volume on reading! 🎶

The Summer Reading Challenge 2026 launches in Staffordshire Libraries on Saturday 4 July.

This year’s theme, Read to the Beat, brings together books and music to make reading even more fun.

Created in partnership with The Reading Agency and Universal Music Group UK, it’s all about helping children discover new stories and enjoy reading all summer long.

✨ We’ve got some fantastic events and activities planned for your little ones throughout the summer holidays!

Our scrapbooking event on Friday is postponed due to the weather forecast.

Due to the inclement warm weather Staffordshire Library Service have cancelled all events at Burntwood Library this week.

This means there will be no Coffee Shop or Place of Welcome, I’m very sorry but it’s our instructions and we need to be safe.

They can be used as individual scrapbooks or photo albums.
Cost is £30 per person all card and papers are provided. Refreshments are available. Bring your own lunch.

We have a list of equipment needed, our scrapbooking group will help.

Burntwood Recycling centre is at zone 2 17D Ring Road WS7 3JQ

Did you know you can return medical care equipment to your local participating recycling centre.

Whether the items are on loan or privately owned, they can be safely dropped off for reuse—helping others in the community while reducing waste.
