Contractor appointed for Comrie flood protection scheme - Perth & Kinross Council The planned multi-million-pound Comrie flood protection scheme has passed a major milestone after a contract was signed with a contractor to carry out the work.

We have received a response from PKC Greenspace regarding the overgrowth of invasive plants on the Ruchill and Earn Banks. These plants are known to be challenging to control. PKC Greenspace is hopeful that the Flood Prevention Scheme will help clear the Ruchill Bank plants. We appreciate the support from Greenspace. Regarding the Earn, Greenspace will notify the landowner about the excessive Japanese Knotweed threatening the path. We greatly appreciate this collaborative effort. The details will also be forwarded to the Scottish Invasive Species Initiative (SISI) for their input. Details can be found below:
