On this , IMO Secretary-General joined the United Nations podcast 'Awake at Night' to discuss the vital contribution of seafarers to global trade and the challenges many face while working at sea. Stay tuned!

As we mark the International Day of the Seafarer, earlier this week International Maritime Organization - IMO announced a major operation to help evacuate more than 11,000 seafarers stranded in the Strait of Hormuz, after months of hardship and distress.

A stark reminder of the critical role seafarers play – and the risks they often face while keeping global trade moving.

Today, I had the pleasure to interview IMO Secretary-General Arsenio Dominguez for our United Nations podcast Awake at Night.
