If you see someone sleeping rough during a heatwave:
💧 Offer a bottle of water
🌳 Help them find shade
📍 Report the location to StreetLink so outreach teams can check on them

Two weeks ago, we joined Paula Barker MP in Parliament to mark the launch of the Women's Rough Sleeping Census 2025 report, 𝙈𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙒𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣.

At the event, our client Victoria courageously shared her experience of rough sleeping as a woman, shedding light on the unique and often hidden challenges women face when experiencing homelessness. 💜

We were joined on the day by our Census partners , & , as well as other Government and sector leaders including Alison McGovern MP, Minister of State for Local Government and Homelessness.

This is our fourth annual census - and we know women are still being undercounted in official rough sleeping statistics. When women are missing from the data, they risk being missing from the solutions too.

Together, we will continue to challenged decision-makers to act on the report's recommendations and deliver the policy and practice changes women urgently need.

While many of us can retreat indoors, thousands of people sleeping rough have nowhere to escape the sun.

Dehydration, heat exhaustion, serious illness, and even death…

A bottle of water, a few minutes of your time, or a outreach referral could make all the difference.
Look out for your fellow Londoners this summer. ❤️

🚨 Red Alert for Extreme Heat 🚨

Temperatures across London are forecast to reach 36°C today, with highs of up to 40°C possible later this week.

For people sleeping rough, extreme heat can be deadly. Long hours in direct sunlight, hot pavements and limited access to water, shade and safe places to rest can put lives at risk.

Looking out for your fellow Londoners could save a life. ❤️

Say hello. Offer water if you can. Share sun cream, a hat or an umbrella. Help someone find shade.

If you're worried about someone sleeping rough, contact StreetLink. If someone is in immediate danger, call 999.

119 years.

That’s how long it would take to clear England’s social housing list at the current rate of housebuilding. More than 1.3 million households are waiting for a social home, while just 12,198 were build last year. 😔

A safe, affordable home shouldn’t be something people wait a lifetime for.

We've built social homes at scale before. With the right political will and investment, we can do it again. 🤝

As football fever kicks in this summer, we're reflecting on one of our own success stories. ⚽

Back in 2024, Coby, one of the young Londnoers we’ve supported, epresented Team England at the Homeless World Cup in South Korea, helping his team reach the final and claim a silver medal. 🥈

His journey started at our Sports Project football sessions in Greenwich. Through our partnership with Street Soccer, he earned a place at the national trials and then a spot on the squad.

Today, Coby has moved into his own home and continues to thrive on and off the pitch.

His story is a reminder that football is about more than trophies. It can build confidence, create opportunities and help people take positive steps towards a brighter future. 💙

Temperatures in London are set to reach 30°C today, with highs of up to 35°C forecast next week. 🔥

Long days in direct sun, nights on hot pavements and very little access to water, shade, toilets or somewhere safe to rest can kill people sleeping rough.

In fact, more people sleeping rough die during the summer months than at any other time of year.

Looking out for your fellow Londoners could save a life. ❤️

Say hello. Offer water if you can. Share sun cream, a hat or an umbrella. Help someone find shade. Contact StreetLink if you're worried about someone sleeping rough. And if someone is in immediate danger, call 999.

Born here. Just moved here. Here for a while or a lifetime.

A Londoner can be many things. But to us, a Londoner is someone who chooses to belong in this incredible diverse city shaped by community, compassion and acceptance.

Proud to live, work and belong in London. Proud to call it 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲.

Mind the Gap, they say on the Underground. But what about the gap in housing, support, and second chances? 🚇

While London’s transport has grown underground over the last 50 years, we’ve been working above ground — helping thousands of Londoners get back on track. 🤝

With over 50 years of working in this city, we celebrate the journeys that don’t appear on the map:
- The tens of thousands of lives we’ve supported.
- The incredible staff who’ve stood beside people through their toughest moments.
- And the volunteers, supporters, and partners who’ve made every step possible.

Here’s to 50 years of hope, housing, and belonging. And here’s to the journey ahead. 🌟
