Looking for real experience in the property sector that could shape your future?

Enfield Council’s Meridian Water is partnering with Savills, an international property services company, to offer a single work placement for up to 6 weeks, or a work placement of 4 weeks and work experience of 2 weeks within their Housing Development & Regeneration Team at their Central London headquarters.

This opportunity will give you hands-on insight into major regeneration projects and the day-to-day work of a leading organisation in the industry. Placements will take place in August or October 2026, and you’ll be based in Central London.

After an initial pre-screening by the Council, shortlisted candidates will be invited to a final group assessment with Savills, where successful applicants will be offered a placement.

Applications close at 5pm on Friday 3 July 2026.

If you are an Enfield resident and interested in gaining experience in the property sector, apply by completing this form: https://orlo.uk/TdqRv

Cllr Andrew Thorp has, on behalf of the Council, renewed the borough's Armed Forces Covenant. The covenant is a pledge that ensures we recognise and support personnel, veterans, military families and the bereaved.
This comes ahead of Armed Forces Day. This year, Enfield's parade will take place at 2.30pm on 28 June from Enfield Chase War Memorial (Chase Side, EN2) to Enfield Civic Centre.
We hope that many residents will join us for this special event to show your support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community.

Pymmes Park came alive last week as Enfield marked Windrush Day with an unforgettable community celebration. From music, food and storytelling to a very special moment as Rudolph Walker CBE unveiled a very special solar-powered talking bench sharing powerful local Windrush stories. Plus, there was a surprise appearance from Diane Parish celebrating Rudolph’s 60 years in television.

This was community, culture and legacy all in one place. The Mayor of Enfield, Cllr Emma Supple, had a wonderful time meeting Rudolph and hearing about the Windrush legacy.

You too can discover the stories at: https://orlo.uk/6fQOh or by visiting our special bench in Pymmes Park.

Stay tuned – an event film is coming soon!

Many thanks indeed to everyone involved: Enfield Council’s Nexus team led a consortium – WE Unite - of community organisations to bid for the Windrush Day grant which made the project possible. WE Unite stands for Windrush Enfield Unite and included the Rudolph Walker Foundation, Enfield Black Heritage Hub and 2 Sweet Occasions.
