The Secretary General of the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation attended the ITU Regional Development Forum for Africa 2026 in Victoria Falls from 25–26 May 2026.
The theme, “Universal, meaningful, and affordable connectivity for an inclusive and sustainable digital future,” convened stakeholders from across Africa to advance dialogue on meaningful connectivity and sustainable digital transformation.

The Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO), in partnership with Viasat, hosted the Commonwealth Partnership Breakfast Meeting on 14 May 2026 at Ankara Hall, BTK Campus, during the Global Symposium for Regulators 2026 in Ankara.
The meeting featured remarks from Bernadette Lewis, Secretary-General of the CTO, and Mohammed Adams Sukparu, Deputy Minister and Chair of the Commonwealth ITU Group. The keynote address was delivered by Cosmas Luckyson Zavazava, while Donna Bethea-Murphy led the presentation and discussion session.
The breakfast meeting created an opportunity for Commonwealth representatives and partners to engage in meaningful dialogue on connectivity, innovation and the future of digital transformation across member countries.
The CTO thanks Viasat for co-hosting the meeting and for its continued support in fostering collaboration for digital development.
