Last week a wonderful and important celebration was held on Broad Street in Nottingham City Centre as the much-awaited Rainbow Quarter was officially opened! 🌈 during Pride month.

➡️Did you know that LGBTQ+ people are more likely to be affected by homelessness? Research from Stonewall shows that almost one in five LGBTQ+ people have experienced homelessness at some point in their lives!

Some of our partners including It's in Nottingham and Broadway Cinema have played a key part in seeing this moment and movement be brought to life, by an amazing and driven community. A vibrant and inclusive community that includes, , Gladrags Notts LGBT+ Network My Nottingham , Nottingham Pastel Project and of course, Notts Pride.

We will be at a stall at Pride on Sat 25 July, next month, so please pop by to say hello and learn more about how we support the LGBTQ+ community 🫶

🌟Young Supporter Spotlight🌟

Returning to our Young Supporters Awards for a second year is 8-year-old Caleb 🫶

Caleb has taken part in various fundraisers for Framework. Last September he took part in the Robin Hood Mini Marathon, and he also organised his own pick and mix stall at his school to raise even more money to help those in need 👟🍭

With plenty of team spirit, determination and a willingness to bounce their way through an inflatable obstacle course, Claire and the Tesco - UK Toton team raised an amazing £435 for Framework Charity! 🎉

A huge thank you to Claire, Tesco Toton’s Community Champion, for bringing together colleagues, friends and family to take on the Inflatable 5K in support of people experiencing homelessness and social exclusion across our communities.

It's incredibly special to see people giving their time, energy and enthusiasm to make a difference. Claire, Amber and everyone involved did exactly that!

In April, besties and Framework supporters Luna and Hilly took part in the Derby Inflatable 5k for Framework!

Together, they managed to raise an outstanding total of £558 to support those facing homelessness and rough sleeping. We can't wait to welcome them to our Young Supporters Awards next month 🏆🎉

🌟Young Supporter Spotlight🌟

We're exactly 1 month away from Framework's 5th annual Young Supporters Awards - an event that recognizes and awards the fundraising efforts of our brilliant young supporters! So we thought we'd shout about them even more in the lead-up to the event 🧡

For our first spotlight, we're starting off strong with 8-year-old Isaac, who recently completed an abseil in the Peak District to fundraise for Framework!

With the support and cheers from his older brother, Hadley, Isaac managed to abseil down Millers Dale Viaduct an impressive total of 8 times! We are blown away by Isaac's bravery and determination 🤩👏

This week is the launch of the incredible CHANGE 4 CHANGE fundraiser, that has been entirely created by our fantastic Youth Patron - Lewis Smith.

Lewis has gone above and beyond this year, he’s done so much to raise awareness and fundraise for Framework, but his latest idea is G O L D. ⭐

He’s created an initiative called Change 4 Change, which is being rolled out to all Equals Trust schools.

The idea is super simple. Lewis has asked that all children do 3 tasks at home, that could be walking the dog, emptying the dish washer, hoovering… and ask for £1 for each task.

Lewis created an amazing video which was showcased at all 19 schools within Equals Trust and he also gave an assembly at Netherfield Primary to explain the idea.

Change 4 Change is happening all this week, and we’re so excited to see how this goes!

From what we're hearing so far… the kids, parents and teachers are LOVING IT!

Well done Lewis, you’re a star!
