Tinsukia Municipal Board was first established on 14th Oct’ 1919 as Tinsukia Union headed by Late. Which was converted in Town Committee on 15th Nov’1926 headed by Late. Later on Tinsukia Town Committee was converted to Tinsukia Municipal Board on 17 Sept’ 1937 headed by Late, Humeswar Baruah as Chairman in the British Rolling period.
