Under India’s BRICS Presidency, the 1st BRICS ACWG Meeting concluded virtually on 3rd June 2026 with deliberations on strengthening asset recovery cooperation, practitioner-level networks, and transparency & accountability in governance.

The 1st BRICS Anti-Corruption Working Group Meeting was inaugurated by Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training, Ms. Rachna Shah.

In her inaugural address, she underlined the importance of asset recovery, return of fugitives, and strengthening both international cooperation and practical cooperation among BRICS countries.

The meeting marks an important step towards practical action, shared learning, and deeper collaboration in the global fight against corruption.

Under India’s BRICS Presidency, the Department of Personnel & Training will host the 1st BRICS Anti-Corruption Working Group Meeting in virtual mode on 2–3 June 2026.

Guided by the Presidency motto “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability,” the meeting will bring together BRICS delegations to deliberate on strengthening international cooperation in anti-corruption.

Key areas of discussion will include:

𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬-𝐁𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
Including informal cooperation for tracing fugitive corruption offenders, supporting extradition, and strengthening practitioner-level cooperation among BRICS countries.

Shaping leadership for responsive and citizen-centric governance 🇮🇳

The Department of Personnel & Training chaired an interaction session of Hon’ble MoS (PP) Dr Jitendra Singh with Assistant Secretaries of IAS 2024 Batch at CSOI, New Delhi.

These interactions will equip and empower the young officers with a national and macro perspective, valuable insights into Central governance, and a strengthened citizen-centric mindset — while strongly resonating Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s vision of the ‘Whole of Government’ approach.

Strengthening The Roadmap to

The Department of Personnel & Training organised an interaction session, chaired by Hon’ble MoS (PP) Dr Jitendra Singh with the Assistant Secretaries of IAS 2024 Batch at CSOI, Vinay Marg, New Delhi.

The interactive session focused on administrative leadership, public service delivery, capacity building and the role of young civil servants in the journey towards Viksit Bharat.

Senior officers of DoPT and LBSNAA were also present during the programme.
