Every successful enterprise begins with a vision and a clear plan to bring that vision to life.

Today, the youth explored practical approaches to business planning and enterprise growth, equipping them with tools to strengthen and expand their ventures. Discussions focused on identifying entrepreneurial opportunities within SMEs and how they can leverage emerging opportunities to create sustainable livelihoods.

The engagement further highlighted the importance of civic education, reminding participants that informed and engaged citizens play a critical role in community development and national progress.

As learning continues in Turbi, Marsabit County, youth are gaining knowledge, skills, and perspectives that will help them make informed decisions both as entrepreneurs and as active members of society.

Today, KSG Embu Campus officially launched the first program under the KSGUndertheTreeSeries, an innovative outreach initiative designed to bring learning, skills development, and government services closer to communities.

The inaugural program, Entrepreneurship for Youth Engaged in SMEs, championed by KSG EMBU Campus Director Dr Ann Kangethe, brings together young entrepreneurs, aspiring business owners, and community members to explore practical pathways for enterprise growth, economic empowerment, and sustainable livelihoods

Through this initiative, the School is reaffirming its commitment to inclusive capacity development by taking training beyond traditional classrooms and directly into communities where it is needed most. Under the shade of trees in Turbi, participants are engaging in conversations on entrepreneurship, business opportunities, and access to government programmes that can help transform ideas into thriving enterprises.

As we begin this week-long learning journey, we celebrate the resilience, creativity, and potential of young people who continue to drive local economic development across Marsabit County.
