The KES 130 million project will feature smart stalls, a cold room, social hall, children’s playground, and a mothers’ crèche, aimed at enhancing trade and improving livelihoods in the area.

Today, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development officially handed over the Malindi Affordable Housing Programme (AHP) Project in Malindi Constituency.

The KSh 1.9 billion project, set on 7 acres, will deliver 570 housing units through six G+9 residential blocks alongside key amenities including a Level 3 Health Centre, kindergarten, clubhouse, police station, roads, parking, sewer infrastructure, and water facilities.

The development is expected to create employment opportunities, with priority given to local Jua Kali artisans and suppliers.

Hosted Members of the National Assembly Committee on Housing, Urban Planning and Public Works during an inspection tour of the Nyali Affordable Housing Project in Mombasa County. The Committee assessed the progress of the project, currently at 60 per cent completion, which is expected to deliver 1,964 housing units upon completion. Lawmakers noted that the development will play a key role in addressing the housing deficit, creating employment opportunities and boosting economic growth in the region.

Accompanied the President in Voi for the groundbreaking of the Voi Modern Market, a KES 300 million project.

Upon completion, the market will accommodate over 1,500 traders, boosting business activity in the region.

The facility will feature 750 stalls, 375 external trading spaces, and 336 smart stalls, along with key amenities including an ICT hub, social hall, food court, children’s playground, proper drainage, and ablution block.
