World Blood Donor Day is celebrated every year on 14th June to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation and to thank voluntary donors for their life-saving contributions.

To mark this occasion, a number of REWS employees joined forces and went to donate blood, helping to make a difference in the lives of those who depend on this vital resource.

Mr Christian Fenech, Manager for Regulation and EU Affairs within the Regulator for Energy and Water Services, today participated in the Annual Engineering Conference organised by the Chamber of Engineers, titled Engineering the Next Decade.

During the Conference, Mr Fenech took part in a panel discussion focusing on Advances in Intelligent Building Performance and Energy Optimisation, where he shared insights on the importance of energy optimisation.

“The future of engineering lies in creating intelligent, energy-efficient solutions that balance innovation, sustainability, and long-term resilience" - Mr Fenech

Students participating in the Stage Malta programme recently visited the Regulator for Energy and Water Services for an informative session highlighting the Regulator’s work within the energy and water sectors.

During the visit, REWS officials delivered a series of presentations aimed at providing students with a deeper understanding of the Regulator’s role, current initiatives, and ongoing efforts.
