A life was lost and properties were destroyed at Mobalufon axis, Ijebu-Ode after a fallen high-tension wire caused a tragic incident. This is a serious reminder: no shop, house, kiosk, billboard, or any structure should be built under or too close to high-tension power lines.
Unsafe development around transmission corridors puts lives, businesses, and communities at risk. Authorities, developers, landlords, and residents all have a role to play in enforcing safe setbacks and preventing avoidable disasters.
Safety is not optional. Respect power line right-of-way. Protect lives. Prevent the next tragedy.

🌍 Recap: World Day for Safety and Health at Work 2026
As we reflect on this year’s theme — Good psychosocial working environments — here are 3 key things every organization should pay attention to:
1️⃣ Work Design Matters
Poorly structured jobs, excessive workload, and unclear roles create stress and reduce productivity.
2️⃣ Mental Health is Workplace Safety
Stress, bullying, and burnout are real occupational risks — not just personal issues.
3️⃣ Leadership & Culture
Respect, fairness, and supportive leadership are critical to building safe and thriving workplaces.
📌 Over 840,000 deaths yearly are linked to psychosocial work risks globally.
Safe People. Healthy Workplaces. Strong Organizations.
