I am impressed by the level of preparedness and commitment demonstrated by Lagos State as we conclude our inspection tour ahead of the maiden National Intermediate Games.
Over the past three days, we inspected key competition venues, athlete accommodation facilities, and support infrastructure across the state. What we have seen gives us every confidence that Lagos is ready to host a world-class Games that will set a new benchmark for athlete development and sports excellence in Nigeria.
The National Intermediate Games is a critical pillar of our sports development agenda. It is designed to bridge the gap between youth sports and elite competition, creating a sustainable pathway for talent discovery, nurturing, and progression.
I am particularly encouraged by the strong support and commitment of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Government towards making this historic event a success. Lagos has a rich tradition of hosting major sporting events, and I have no doubt that the state will once again deliver an exceptional experience for athletes, officials, and sports fans across the country.
The future of Nigerian sports lies in our ability to create opportunities for young talents to compete, grow, and excel. The National Intermediate Games represents another bold step in that direction, and together, we are building a stronger foundation for the next generation of champions.

Thank you, Mr Akin Akinwale, and the entire team for this thoughtful presentation.
I am truly impressed by the quality of work and the depth of documentation capturing our modest contributions within the Renewed Hope agenda of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
This is a reminder that the work we do is seen, recorded, and ultimately judged by its impact.
Be assured, we will continue to serve with diligence and purpose, humility and we will not let Mr. President, your team, and the Nigerian people down.
We keep building Nigeria through Sport on this end.

I am proud to celebrate 10-year-old Junior Quadri for his outstanding performance at the World Table Tennis Youth Tournament in Luxembourg, where he won silver in the U-11 category and bronze in the U-13 category.
This achievement reflects not just his talent, but the strong foundation laid by his father, Aruna Quadri, and his mother, Qaniat, whose dedication as a coach is clearly yielding results.
The National Sports Commission remains proud of this family and fully committed to supporting the development of young talents like Junior Quadri.
The future of Nigerian sports is bright. 🇳🇬

Today, We celebrate not just a President, but a leader whose strength, humility, and conviction continue to shape the direction of our nation.
Happy 74th Birthday to His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.
Mr. President, your message today reflects the heart of a man who truly understands that leadership is not about one person, but about the people, the sacrifices, and the shared belief in a better Nigeria. Your words on unity, resilience, and collective progress are both timely and deeply reassuring.
From where I sit in the sports sector, I see daily how your vision of Renewed Hope comes alive, in the discipline of our athletes, in their hunger to succeed, and in the unity that sports continues to foster across our diverse nation. Just like in governance, success in sports is never the effort of one man, but the strength of a committed team working towards a common goal.
As you reflect on the journey so far and the road ahead, we acknowledge the sacrifices made and the progress recorded. Indeed, the light at the end of the tunnel you spoke of is one we are all committed to reaching together.
On a personal note, I pray that God grants you continued strength, wisdom, and clarity to lead us through these defining times. The journey may be challenging, but I share in your firm belief that Nigeria will emerge stronger, more prosperous, and more united.
Happy Birthday once again, Mr. President. Nigeria is rooting for you.
