DELTA NORTH POLITICAL LEADERS ENDORSE OKOWA FOR SENATE SEAT IN 2027

Political leaders from Delta North Senatorial District have endorsed the immediate past Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa , CON, to contest for the Delta North Senate seat in 2027.

The endorsement followed a consultative meeting held at the official residence of the Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme. The motion calling on Senator Okowa to run was moved by former Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, and seconded by Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi, representing Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency.

The meeting had in attendance key stakeholders, community leaders, and political figures from across the nine local government areas of the district. The leaders cited Okowa’s experience, political network, and track record as governor as reasons for their endorsement, noting that his presence in the Senate would further strengthen Delta North’s voice at the national level.

The leaders having unanimously reached the decision proceeded to the residence of Senator Okowa, where representatives from the three federal constituencies in Delta North spoke on behalf of their people, and with one voice they urged the former governor to contest the 2027 senatorial election.

In his response, Senator Okowa expressed appreciation for the show of confidence and accepted the call to run. He assured the leaders of his commitment to effective representation, noting that his years of service have strengthened his resolve to uphold the values of responsible and people-oriented leadership.

He also pledged to remain accountable to the people, stating that their endorsement would continue to serve as a reminder of the responsibility placed on him.

JUBILATION AT ALUGBA COMMUNITY AS DELTA- NIGERIA COUNCIL BOSS HON, ODIGWE PROCURES 500KVA TRANSFORMER.

The Chairman of Ika North East Local Government Area, Hon. Hunkamma Monday Odigwe , was today greeted with wide jubilation at Alugba Community of Owa-Alero, in Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State as he procured a 500 KVA transformer sub station for the community.

Speaking during the presentation to the community, the council boss stated that the need for the residents of the Council Area remains a first line charge as his administration is committed to bringing development across the Local Government Area.

Residents of the community who spoke to newsmen said they were full of appreciation for the Council Chairman and his administration developmental programmes .
