Yesterday’s successful Agricultural Training Programme organised by Ika South Local Government provided farmers and participants with valuable knowledge, modern farming techniques, and practical solutions geared towards improving agricultural productivity and strengthening food security across our communities.

The Executive Chairman of Ika South Local Government Area, Hon. Engr. Jerry Ehiwarior, commended all participants for their active involvement and commitment towards advancing food production and economic growth within the Local Government Area. He noted that the dedication of farmers remains critical to the sustainable development of the agricultural sector.

The Chairman also expressed profound appreciation to the Department of Agriculture, Ika South Local Government Council, for their effective coordination and support towards the success of the programme. Special recognition was equally given to the resource persons and facilitators whose expertise and insightful contributions made the training impactful and enriching.

In the spirit of love, unity, and peaceful coexistence, the Executive Chairman of Ika South Local Government Area Hon. Engr. Jerry Ehiwarior today presented gift items to the Arewa Community in Ika South led by the Sarkin Ibrahim Mohamed Gani as they joined millions of Muslims across the world in the celebration of Eid-ul-Adha.

The gesture reflects the administration’s commitment to inclusiveness, religious harmony, and the welfare of all residents irrespective of tribe or religion. While felicitating with the Muslim faithful, the Chairman who was represented by his special adviser Mr. Chinedu Nduka encouraged continued prayers for peace, progress, and sustainable development in Ika South Local Government and the nation at large.

Receiving the gift items, the leaders of the Muslim community thanked the Executive Chairman for his kind gesture and show of inclusivity. "We have never been carried along in this manner" he said. They offered prayers and goodwill messages to the Chairman emphasizing on their continuous support for his administration.

Today, the Executive Chairman of Ika South Local Government Area, Hon. Engr. Jerry Ehiwarior, paid an inspection visit to the Computer Village in Agbor to assess the current state and general operations of the facility as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen commercial activities, improve infrastructure, and enhance the business environment for technology entrepreneurs and traders.

The initiative is geared towards decongestion, expansion, and promoting orderly development, while creating more opportunities for investment, innovation, and employment within the sector.

The Executive Chairman remains committed to policies and developmental projects that will drive economic growth, support digital enterprise, and contribute meaningfully to sustainable community development in Ika South.

At the Council today, the Executive Chairman of Ika South Local Government Area, Hon. Engr.
