Small arms and light weapons (SALW) sensitization campaigns educate the public on the dangers of illicit gun ownership. In Maiduguri, the North East Zonal Centre of the National Centre for the Control of Small Arms and Light Weapons (NCCSALW) along with the National Youth Service Corps drives these localized initiatives to combat armed violence and illicit arms proliferation.
