Following weeks of medical recovery in Oman, all seven crew members are now safely back in the Philippines and reunited with their families. We extend our deepest gratitude to the Omani authorities for their vital medical assistance, and to our dedicated team for providing round-the-clock monitoring and logistical support.

The Philippine Embassy remains steadfast in its commitment to protecting and serving our OFWs in the Sultanate of Oman. πŸ‡΄πŸ‡²πŸ€πŸ‡΅πŸ‡

The Embassy marked the 128th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence through a flag-raising ceremony on 14 June 2026, attended by Embassy, MWO, and OWWA personnel, and members of the Filipino community in Oman.

The program featured the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, the Panunumpa ng Katapatan sa Watawat ng Pilipinas, and the Bagong Pilipinas Hymn. Attendees also viewed video messages from President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. and OWWA Administrator PY Caunan. The message of Secretary of Foreign Affairs Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro was delivered by the Consul, while the Labor AttachΓ© conveyed the message of Secretary of Migrant Workers Hans Leo J. Cacdac.

In her closing remarks, Ambassador Noralyn Jubaira Baja thanked all Filipinos who joined the ceremony and emphasized that patriotism is reflected in the small yet meaningful acts of service, dedication, and hard work demonstrated by Filipinos abroad every day.

The celebration concluded with a photo opportunity and a brief gathering over empanadas and samalamig, providing an opportunity for everyone to celebrate this important national milestone together.
