The implementation status of two priority infrastructure projects of the Municipality of Abuyog was validated through a structured on-site inspection. This yielded concrete action points aimed at accelerating project completion and ensuring the timely delivery of public services.
The 2nd Quarter 2026 Local Project Monitoring Committee (LPMC) Monitoring Activity was conducted on May 26, 2026. The activity started with a preliminary briefing at the DILG Office in Abuyog, followed by physical site inspections in Barangay Anibongon, Leyte.
The activity covered two infrastructure projects identified as priorities by the Local Development Council (LDC):
• Construction of Concrete Pathway, and
• Installation of Solar Street Lights.
Both projects are funded under the 20% Economic Development Fund (EDF) and implemented by the Municipality of Abuyog.
The Inspectorate Team was composed of representatives from the MLGOO, MPDO-MEO, and the Private Sector.
Key Findings:
• The Concrete Pathway Project recorded 100% physical accomplishment for its current phase, covering 222 linear meters with a contract amount of ₱1,000,000.00.
• The Solar Street Lights Project (37 units) also registered 100% physical accomplishment with a contract amount of ₱1,000,000.00.
An exit conference was conducted with SB Member/ LPMC Chairperson Hon. Felicito V. Topia Jr, to discuss implementation updates and agree on continuing measures to support project completion. Stakeholders emphasized the importance of sustained monitoring, inter-agency coordination, and active engagement of the Local Project Monitoring Committee to reinforce accountability.
