Today, Barangay Tigayon proudly celebrates Jaymark O. Valle, who earned the distinction of being the Class Valedictorian of Aklan State University – Banga Campus with a remarkable GWA of 1.364, the highest among 1,341 graduates for Academic Year 2025–2026.

Further highlighting his excellence, he secured the top spot in the Ten Outstanding Students of Aklan State University.

BARANGAY KALINISAN DAY | MAY 31, 2026

The Brigada Eskwela 2026 of Tigayon Elementary School has officially commenced.

In the spirit of bayanihan and community partnership, the teaching personnel, parents, stakeholders, the Tigayon Barangay Council, and the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Council of Tigayon have united to support this year's Brigada Eskwela initiative.

This collective effort reflects our shared commitment to providing a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment for our learners as we prepare for the opening of the academic year. Through cooperation, volunteerism, and community engagement, we continue to strengthen our dedication to quality education and the welfare of every child.

Together, we build better schools and a brighter future for our learners.

The Tigayon Barangay Council joins the entire nation in the solemn and patriotic observance of the Philippine National Flag Days from May 26 to June 12.

As we proudly raise and honor the Philippine Flag, may we always remember the heroism, sacrifices, and unwavering courage of our forefathers who fought for our freedom and national identity. The Philippine Flag stands as the enduring symbol of our sovereignty, unity, resilience, and pride as Filipinos.

In line with this commemoration, we encourage every Tigayonon to display the Philippine Flag with honor and respect, and to continue fostering love of country through responsible citizenship, unity, and public service.

BARANGAY KALINISAN DAY| MAY 24,2026

Hon. Henry D. Lachica, Committee Chairman on Solid Waste Management, together with our SK Chairperson Hon. Earl Aldrich P. Meren, alongside the 4Ps representatives, Barangay Health Workers, and School Representatives, successfully completed the 2-Day Capacity Building for Climate-Resilient Barangays: Proper Waste Management and Climate Change Adaptation for the Barangay Social and Behavioral Change Communication (SBCC) Team.

This meaningful activity was facilitated by the Municipal Solid Waste Management Office and aimed to strengthen the knowledge, skills, and commitment of Barangay in promoting environmental awareness, proper waste management practices, and climate change adaptation within the community.

The training highlighted the importance of unity, responsibility, and active community participation in building a cleaner, safer, and more climate-resilient Barangay. Through this initiative, the participants are now better equipped to become advocates of environmental sustainability and agents of positive behavioral change in the community.

The Second Batch of Criminology Interns from North Western Visayan Colleges has officially and successfully completed their internship program at the Barangay Hall of Tigayon.

Throughout their training, the interns demonstrated dedication, discipline, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to public service. Their active participation and willingness to learn have greatly contributed to the daily operations and community service initiatives of the barangay.

The Barangay Council of Tigayon headed by Punong Barangay Gil A. Morandante extends its sincere appreciation and congratulations to all the interns for their hard work and perseverance during their internship journey.

May this experience serve as a strong foundation as they continue pursuing excellence in the field of criminology and future service in law enforcement and community development.
