The Provincial Government of Albay, through the Provincial Education Department (PED), proudly announces the opening of nominations and submissions for the Albay Kadunung Awards 2026.

The Albay Kadunung Awards aims to recognize and honor outstanding Albayano individuals, groups, and institutions who have demonstrated excellence, innovation, and dedication in the field of education, learning, and community development.

We invite individuals, schools, organizations, and communities to nominate deserving educators, leaders, students, and barangay education champions whose passion and commitment continue to inspire positive change.

Submission of nomination forms and pertinent documents will be accepted from June 15 to July 10, 2026.

(Legazpi City, June 2, 2026) Inilunsad ng Provincial Education Department (PED), sa pangunguna ni Dr. Jeremy A. Cruz ang Albay Provincial English Language Proficiency Program (PELPP) bilang bahagi ng unveiling sa ginanap na flag raising ceremony nitong unang araw ng Hunyo sa Albay Capitol.

Mas detalyadong tinalakay ang programa sa isinagawang media conference sa Red Room ng Albay Capitol Building, kung saan ipinaliwanag ang saklaw, layunin, at pagpapatupad nito katuwang ang London-based education company na Efekta.

Ang PELPP ay isang programang pang-edukasyon na nakatuon sa pagpapalakas ng kasanayan sa wikang Ingles ng humigit-kumulang 14,000 Grade 12 senior high school learners sa buong lalawigan ng Albay.

Layunin ng programa na mabigyan ang mga mag-aaral ng mas malawak na oportunidad sa komunikasyon, paghahanda sa mas mataas na edukasyon, at paglinang ng kakayahang magamit ang wikang Ingles sa akademiko at propesyonal na larangan.

Ipinakilala rin si Patrick Owen De Guzman, Philippine Education Program Manager ng Efekta Education Group, na nagbahagi ng impormasyon hinggil sa learning platform at suporta ng kompanya sa pagpapatupad ng programa.

Inaasahang makatutulong ang PELPP sa pagpapatibay ng kasanayan at kahandaan ng mga mag-aaral para sa kanilang kinabukasan.

(Legazpi City, June 2, 2026) The Provincial Education Department (PED) of Albay launched the Albay Kadunong Awards 2026 and the Albay Provincial English Language Proficiency Program (PELPP) during the provincial flag-raising ceremony at the Albay Capitol on June 1.

The launch was led by PED Head Dr. Jeremy A. Cruz and Albay Governor Noel E. Rosal as part of efforts to strengthen education and learning development in the province.

The Albay Kadunong Awards recognize excellence in education through four categories for teachers and child development workers, school principals, students, and barangays with functional educational initiatives.

Meanwhile, the PELPP was introduced as a one-year program designed to improve the English proficiency of about 14,000 Grade 12 senior high school students across Albay.

A media conference was also held at the Red Room of the Albay Capitol Building to provide additional information and address questions about the newly launched programs.

The initiative underscores the Provincial Government of Albay’s efforts to promote academic excellence and expand learning opportunities for Albayanon learners.

(Legazpi City, June 1, 2026) The Albay Provincial Education Department (PED) launched the Baynte Kwatrong Bituun Kan Albay on June 1 as part of the Albay Kadunung Awards 2026 to recognize outstanding educators and child development workers across the province.

According to PED Head Jeremy A. Cruz, EdD, PhD, the Baynte Kwatrong Bituun Kan Albay, or Brilliant Innovative Teachers Uplifting with Unselfish Nurturing, is a search for Outstanding Municipal and City Teachers as well as Child Development Workers of Albay.

The program aims to select one Outstanding Teacher from each of the province’s 18 local government units, with each awardee set to receive Php 100,000 and a trophy.

Six Outstanding Child Development Workers, with two awardees from each legislative district, will also receive Php 50,000 and a trophy.

The initiative seeks to recognize the dedication of educators and child development workers and honor their contributions to the learning and development of young Albayanos and their communities.
