Climate Ambassadors Slay the Runway for a Cause in โ€œKlima Wear 2025โ€ Fashion Show

May 25, 2025 โ€“ Manila, Philippines โ€” The Climate Task Forceโ€™s Climate Ambassadors took center stage last night in the much-anticipated โ€œRunway Ramp para sa Klima: Klima Wear 2025โ€, a groundbreaking fashion event that fused style with sustainability and advocacy.

Held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines, the event featured stunning eco-conscious designs worn by the Climate Ambassadorsโ€”youth leaders, artists, and environmental advocatesโ€”who strutted down the runway donning outfits made from upcycled, organic, and biodegradable materials. Each piece told a story of climate resilience, circular fashion, and the power of individual action.

โ€œRunway Ramp para sa Klima is more than just a fashion show,โ€ said Climate Task Force lead coordinator Anna Dela Cruz. โ€œItโ€™s a bold statement that climate action can be woven into every aspect of our livesโ€”even the clothes we wear.โ€

Designers from across the Philippines collaborated with environmental scientists to ensure each ensemble reflected both creativity and climate consciousness. Highlights included pieces inspired by coral reefs, mangroves, solar power, and indigenous textile patterns.

The event also kicked off a month-long climate action campaign led by the Climate Ambassadors, aiming to engage schools, local communities, and businesses in sustainability efforts.

As the final model exited the runway under a canopy of solar-powered lights, the message was clear: the climate crisis demands urgent actionโ€”and the youth are ready to lead, with both passion and purpose.
