Punjab Women Protection Authority Gujrat

The Punjab Women Protection Authority Act provides for a comprehensive system of protection, relief & rehabilitation of female victims of violence.

The core objective of setting up this Authority is to facilitate, ensure and oversee the implementation institutional measures stipulated under the Punjab Protection of Women against Violence Act 2016, including, establishment of District Women Protection Committees, Violence against Women Centers and Women Protection Officers. Furthermore, the Act institutionalizes periodic sensitization of public servants on women-related issues.
