🔥 Fire & Life Safety in Defense Housing Authority (DHA)
Fire & Life Safety (FLS) isn’t just about protecting assets; it’s a legal and financial necessity for commercial property owners and developers.
Under DHA bylaws, all commercial buildings must comply with the Building Code of Pakistan (Fire Safety Provisions) 2016. Non-compliance can lead to:
❌ Heavy penalties & closure notices
❌ Delays in NOC issuance or renewal
❌ Increased liability in case of fire incidents
❌ Voided insurance claims
✅ Good news!
Safe T Consult is now registered as MEP and FLS Consultant with DHA.
We are proud to be among approved FLS consultants, ready to support commercial projects from concept to occupancy.
🚨 We may help strengthening FLS Standards in DHA:
- Conduct fire risk assessments
- Design compliant fire detection & suppression systems
- Prepare documentation for DHA approval
- Ensure full adherence to BCP 2016
- Compliance with DHA safety regulations
- Integration of fire & life safety systems in MEP design
We work closely with architects, builders, and developers to ensure that every project meets the highest standards of safety, compliance, and resilience. Our role is to ensure that buildings are not only compliant, but also safe for occupants, assets, and operations.
Secure your property, your reputation, and your ROI.
Let’s work together to build safer environments in DHA.

📜 A significant milestone in my professional journey
I am humbled and proud to share that the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Code of Practice for the construction sector in Pakistan has been formally approved by the Parliament for enforcement.
This is a landmark step toward safer, healthier, and more dignified working conditions in one of our most vital yet high-risk industries.
Heartfelt gratitude to:
- Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) – for taking bold ownership of this initiative.
- International Labor Organization (ILO) – for their indispensable technical support and collaborative spirit throughout the technical committee process.
- Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (OPHRD) – for their continued facilitation.
- Concurrence from Provincial Labor directorates, other relevant departments and stakeholders across Pakistan.
- A special mention to the Pakistan Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) – where our team tirelessly followed up with PEC, ILO, and OPHRD to push this across the finish line.
I feel privileged to have been part of the ASSP team and to serve as a professional member of the PEC technical committee in this national endeavor.
What this means for Pakistan’s construction sector:
- Improved working conditions and reduced human suffering
- Prevention of major accidental losses
- New opportunities for safety consultants
- Enhanced job prospects for safety professionals
Together, we’ve proven that persistent collaboration between professional bodies, government, and international agencies can turn policy into action.
Let’s now focus on effective implementation of OSH code starting with Capacity Building of stakeholders.

"Companies misunderstand ESG & treat it like compliance checkbox"
They gather data and publish report but nothing changes.
We are hosting a webinar on a critical shift on turning ESG reporting into tangible outcomes including:
🔹 Improve business performance – Use ESG data to identify inefficiencies, reduce waste, and strengthen supply chains.
🔹 Increase profitability – Link sustainability metrics to cost savings, pricing power, and access to lower-cost capital.
🔹 Build credibility – Turn passive disclosure into active trust with investors, customers, and regulators.
You’ll learn:
✅ How to prioritize the 20% of metrics that drive 80% of business value
✅ A framework for connecting ESG targets to P&L impact
✅ How to communicate outcomes – not just activities – to stakeholders
If your team is stuck in “reporting fatigue,” this session is for you.
