The Federal Tax Ombudsman Secretariat hosted the 32nd meeting of the Forum of Pakistan Ombudsman at the FTO Secretariat, Islamabad.
The meeting was presided over by the Honourable Federal Ombudsman of Pakistan, Mr Naveed Kamran Baloch, while the session was coordinated by Mr Almas Ali Jovindah, Executive Secretary of the Forum of Pakistan Ombudsman and Advisor Legal to the Federal Tax Ombudsman. Honourable Ms Fauzia Viqar, Federal Ombudsperson for Protection against Harassment (FOSPAH), also attended the meeting.
Representatives from Ombudsman and Ombudsperson institutions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Balochistan, and Sindh actively participated in the session.
The meeting focused on discussions regarding the byelaws of the Forum of Pakistan Ombudsman, proposed amendments, and measures aimed at strengthening institutional coordination and enhancing the collective effectiveness of ombudsman institutions across Pakistan. Participants also exchanged views on improving grievance redressal mechanisms, public outreach, and inter institutional collaboration to further promote administrative justice, transparency, and citizen centric governance.
The session reaffirmed the shared commitment of Pakistan’s ombudsman institutions towards strengthening accountability and ensuring accessible and effective relief for the public through enhanced cooperation and institutional engagement.

Applications are now open for the Federal Tax Ombudsman Campus Ambassador Programme 2026.
Students from universities and higher education institutions across Pakistan are invited to apply and become part of FTO’s national youth outreach network.
Selected Campus Ambassadors will represent FTO in their respective institutions, promote awareness about taxpayer rights, support outreach activities and contribute to student-led awareness initiatives.
The appointment will be for a period of one year from the date of appointment.
