Data reveals that while inherent talent, intellect, and ambition are identical, systemic social barriers drastically lower the success ratio for Deaf youth. With high courts actively tightening enforcement on provincial job quotas (3% in Punjab, 5% in Sindh), decision-makers can no longer ignore this untapped talent pool.

Here is what the data tells us—and how corporate leaders can fix it:

Pakistan is home to nearly 10 million Deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals. Yet, our current infrastructure creates a massive human capital drain:

سماعت سے محروم بچوں کی پرورش صرف ایک ذمہ داری نہیں، بلکہ ایک بہت ہی خوبصورت اور جذباتی سفر ہے۔ یہ بچے دنیا کو کانوں سے نہیں، بلکہ اپنی آنکھوں اور اپنے معصوم دل سے سنتے ہیں۔ ان کے اندر اعتماد پیدا کرنے کے لیے ہمیں صرف ان کے والدین نہیں، بلکہ ان کا سب سے بڑا سہارا بننا ہوگا۔

اگر آپ اپنے بچے کے دل میں یہ یقین جگانا چاہتے ہیں کہ وہ دنیا میں کسی سے کم نہیں، تو اپنے اندازِ تربیت میں ان باتوں کو شامل کریں:

یہ ضرور کریں (دل جوئی اور حوصلہ افزائی)
ان کی زبان کو اپنائیں: اگر آپ کا بچہ اشاروں کی زبان (Sign Language) سے بات کرتا ہے، تو اسے بوجھ نہ سمجھیں بلکہ محبت سے سیکھیں۔ جب آپ کا بچہ دیکھے گا کہ اس کی ماں یا اس کے پاپا اس کے ہاتھوں کی زبان سمجھ رہے ہیں، تو اس کا دل خوشی اور مان سے بھر جائے گا۔

نظروں سے محبت برسائیں: جب بھی بچے سے بات کریں، اس کے سامنے بیٹھیں، اس کی آنکھوں میں جھانکیں اور مسکرائیں۔ آپ کی آنکھوں کا یہ رابطہ اس کے اکیلے پن کو لمحوں میں دور کر سکتا ہے۔

ان کے ہنر کو پنکھ دیں: اپنے بچے کو صرف اس کی محرومی کے چشمے سے نہ دیکھیں۔ ہو سکتا ہے وہ بہت شاندار تصویریں بناتا ہو، یا اس کا دماغ چیزوں کو بہت جلدی سمجھتا ہو۔ اس کی چھوٹی سی کوشش پر بھی اسے سینے سے لگائیں اور کہیں: "مجھے تم پر فخر ہے!"

انہیں آزاد اڑان دیں: محبت میں آکر انہیں کمزور نہ بنائیں۔ انہیں اپنے چھوٹے چھوٹے کام خود کرنے دیں، گرنے دیں اور خود سنبھلنے دیں۔ جب وہ خود کوئی کام کریں گے، تو ان کا چہرہ ایک انوکھے اعتماد سے چمک اٹھے گا۔

احساسِ تحفظ دیں: انہیں یقین دلائیں کہ دنیا چاہے جتنی بھی شور مچانے والی ہو، آپ کا دامن ان کے لیے ہمیشہ پرسکون اور محفوظ رہے گا۔

ان باتوں سے پرہیز کریں (تاکہ ان کا دل نہ ٹوٹے)
کبھی پچھتاوا یا افسوس نہ کریں: کسی کے سامنے یا اکیلے میں بھی کبھی یہ نہ کہیں کہ "کاش میرا بچہ سن سکتا۔" آپ کی آنکھوں کی اداسی اور آپ کے چہرے کا افسوس بچہ بہت جلدی محسوس کر لیتا ہے۔ آپ کا فخر ہی اس کی سب سے بڑی طاقت ہے۔

انہیں دنیا سے نہ چھپائیں: رشتہ داروں کی محفل ہو یا کوئی تقریب، اپنے بچے کو ہمیشہ اپنے ساتھ رکھیں۔ اسے کبھی یہ نہ لگے کہ وہ کوئی ایسی چیز ہے جسے چھپا کر رکھنا ضروری ہے۔

موازنہ کر کے دل نہ دکھائیں: کبھی اپنے بچے کا موازنہ سننے والے بچوں یا اس کے بہن بھائیوں سے نہ کریں۔ یاد رکھیں، ہر بچہ خاص ہوتا ہے اور آپ کا بچہ تو خدا کا ایک نایاب تحفہ ہے۔

ہمدردی کا نشان نہ بنائیں: اس کے حصے کے کام خود کر کے اس پر ضرورت سے زیادہ ترس نہ کھائیں۔ ترس کھانے سے بچے خود کو بیچارہ سمجھنے لگتے ہیں۔ ہمیں انہیں بیچارہ نہیں، جری اور بہادر بنانا ہے۔

دل کو چھو لینے والی سچائی:
آپ کا بچہ دنیا کی بھیڑ میں خاموش ضرور ہے، لیکن اس کی روح بہت گہری ہے۔ اسے یہ محسوس کروائیں کہ آوازیں نہ سن پانا کوئی عیب نہیں، بلکہ دنیا کو ایک الگ اور خوبصورت نظر سے دیکھنے کا ایک انوکھا انداز ہے۔ جب آپ اسے دل سے قبول کریں گے، تو وہ دنیا کو فتح کرنے کا حوصلہ پا لے گا۔

کبھی کبھی مسئلہ یہ نہیں ہوتا کہ Deaf بچے کام نہیں کرنا چاہتے…
اصل مسئلہ یہ ہوتا ہے کہ انہیں کبھی دنیا کا سامنا کرنے ہی نہیں دیا جاتا۔ 💔

بہت سے والدین اپنے Deaf بچے سے بےحد محبت کرتے ہیں۔
وہ ڈرتے ہیں کہ کہیں کوئی اسے دھوکہ نہ دے، مذاق نہ اڑائے، یا اسے تکلیف نہ پہنچے۔
اسی خوف میں وہ بچے کو ہر وقت اپنے قریب رکھتے ہیں، ہر کام خود کر دیتے ہیں، اور آہستہ آہستہ اس کی دنیا صرف گھر کی چار دیواری تک محدود ہو جاتی ہے۔

لیکن پھر ایک وقت آتا ہے جب وہی بچہ خاموش، ڈرا ہوا اور خود پر اعتماد سے خالی محسوس کرنے لگتا ہے۔ 😔

وہ باہر جانے سے گھبراتا ہے…
لوگوں سے بات کرنے سے کتراتا ہے…
اور کبھی کبھی کام شروع کرنے سے پہلے ہی سوچ لیتا ہے:
“شاید میں نہیں کر سکتا…”

حالانکہ حقیقت یہ ہے کہ اگر اسے موقع، رہنمائی اور تھوڑا سا اعتماد دیا جائے… تو وہ بہت کچھ کر سکتا ہے۔ ❤️

Deaf بچے بھی خواب رکھتے ہیں۔
وہ بھی اپنے والدین کا سہارا بننا چاہتے ہیں۔
وہ بھی عزت سے کمانا، سیکھنا اور زندگی میں آگے بڑھنا چاہتے ہیں۔

انہیں صرف ترس نہیں چاہیے…
انہیں ایک موقع چاہیے۔ 🤝

ماں باپ کا تحفظ بہت قیمتی ہوتا ہے،
لیکن کبھی کبھی بچوں کو مضبوط بنانے کے لیے انہیں تھوڑا اڑنے دینا بھی ضروری ہوتا ہے۔

ہو سکتا ہے شروع میں وہ غلطیاں کریں…
ہو سکتا ہے انہیں وقت لگے…
لیکن یہی چھوٹے چھوٹے تجربے ان کے اندر اعتماد پیدا کرتے ہیں۔

یاد رکھیں:
اگر ہم ہمیشہ اپنے Deaf بچوں کا ہاتھ پکڑ کر رکھیں گے،
تو وہ کبھی اپنے قدموں پر چلنا نہیں سیکھ پائیں گے۔ 🌱

آئیں اپنے بچوں کو صرف محفوظ نہ رکھیں…
انہیں خودمختار، بااعتماد اور کامیاب بھی بنائیں۔ ✨
