"The wildlife and its habitat cannot speak, so we must and we will" - Theodore Roosevelt
We are entering our busiest season for wildlife rehabilitation at Dauset Trails. Day in and day out, our wildlife rehabilitators care for injured and orphaned native animals with one goal in mind: getting them back where they belong, in the wild.
If you’d like to support our wildlife rehabilitation efforts, please consider donating using the link below. Thank you for being a part of giving Georgia’s wildlife a second chance at life. We truly couldn’t do it without you. 🤍
Dauset Trails Nature Center is a special place for our community—free, family-friendly, and full of opportunities to get outside and connect with nature.
After devastating flood damage, the Daughtry Foundation stepped up to help rebuild and create new gravity trails, including Black Widow, Peta Parka, and Itsy Bitsy—restoring and improving what was lost.
Now we’re focused on protecting what’s been built. We’re raising funds to install Trail Armor on Black Widow and Peta Parka to reduce erosion, strengthen high-use sections, and keep these trails fast, safe, and sustainable for years to come.
If you’ve ridden here, walked here, or simply value having a place like this in our community, this is your chance to help preserve it.
We’re excited to welcome the Georgia Cycling Association Trail Rangers Expedition Series to Dauset Trails Nature Center this Saturday, May 9th! 🚴🌲
These young athletes will be riding portions of the Jake and Gobbler loops throughout the day. Please note that the Mt. Vernon Church trailhead will be closed until late Saturday afternoon to accommodate the event.
All other trails and trailheads will remain open for guests to enjoy. We appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to cheer on these riders as they explore the trails at Dauset!
