Just returned from ICEM 2026 (ICEM 2026 ) in Hamburg, Germany where our team had the privilege of presenting six projects, most from Nepal, with additional work from Pakistan.
Every 2 seconds, someone dies from a condition that stronger emergency care could help prevent.
It was great to connect with colleagues from around the world, Australia, the UK, Korea, Singapore, India, Pakistan, Nepal, and many others, all working toward to save lives through better emergency care.
Our work on rural ultrasound, trauma systems, and community-based cardiac arrest response sparked meaningful conversations about practical solutions that can improve outcomes, even in resource-limited settings.
It’s clear what emergency care can achieve and what we must continue building in Nepal if we are serious about preventing preventable deaths. Grateful for the incredible team at HAPSA Nepal, (HAPSA ) our partners, and the communities that continue to teach us what matters most. Nepal has enormous potential to become a model for community-centered emergency care.
