It was an energizing day representing the St. Ann’s FACTS Ministry at the Georgia State Capital!

2026 Human Trafficking Advocacy Day Summary:

HB490 -bill introduced last year to combat hotels being knowingly complicit in s*x trafficking.

HB1187 -aka "Trey’s Law”-bill prevents NDAs (non-disclosure agreements) in any case involving child s*x abuse (trafficking) cases.

The most poignant take away for Advocacy Day at the Capitol was from Rep. Brian Strickland (District 42) who reminded us that we must continue to “Show up and acknowledge the issue!”

S*x trafficking in Georgia is an ongoing issue. Traffickers are betting that Georgia citizens will forget the atrocities and news after a while. We must continue to stand up and speak for those who cannot. Join our fight!

New reports show that there are over 800,000 daily online predators actively seeking to exploit children for s*xual purposes. This statistic highlights the urgent need for awareness and protection for our kids in the digital world.
