On July 22nd from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, we will host a Head Start Recruitment Event in ! 🎉

This event is a great opportunity to learn more about our program and tour our Newnan center. We will have application assistance available, vendors, family resources, fun activities, and our CAFI Cares Pop-Up Market at this event! Families currently enrolled in Head Start or considering enrollment into our program will have the opportunity to shop for free nonperishable food items and household goods at this market.

In observance of Juneteenth, all District 4 Public Health offices, WIC & Nutrition Centers, and Environmental Health will be closed on Friday, June 19, 2026.

Normal business hours will resume on Monday, June 22.

Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States.

A Tornado Watch has now been issued for portions of north and central Georgia through 11 PM tonight. The remnants of Tropical Storm Arthur is bringing a risk for strong to severe storms with damaging wind gusts and brief tornadoes.

All District 4 Public Health offices will close at 3:00 PM today, Thursday, June 18, due to expected severe weather.

Offices will remain closed on Friday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth Holiday.

We will reopen on Monday, June 22.

When was your well water last tested?

Private well owners should test for bacteria, like coliform and E. coli, every year and chemicals every 3 years. Contamination has no warning signs.

Check with your County Environmental Health office about testing services district4health.org/well-water.
