The House just passed the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, which now heads to President Trump’s desk to be signed into law.
The American dream of homeownership is out of reach for many. By passing this bill, we are working towards tackling affordability by reducing regulation and increasing the housing supply, making it easier for Americans across the country to own a home.

Last Friday, I delivered a proclamation in honor of the 165th birthday of Dr. José Rizal, a national hero of the Philippines and a treasured friend of America. Dr. Rizal extended his friendship to our community as part of his transcontinental train journey through the United States, visiting Colorado on May 9, 1888.
This past July, I joined our community to unveil a statue of Dr. Rizal in George Fellows Park, which symbolizes his pursuit for freedom and the contributions of the Filipino-American community here in the United States.
As we celebrate America’s 250th year, Dr. Rizal’s legacy reminds us of the shared values of both friendship and opportunity that unite our two nations. Thank you to our Filipino-American community for having me at this historic event.
