Today we honor the U.S. Army’s 251 years of service and celebrate Flag Day, a reminder of the unity, liberty, and patriotism our flag represents. May we always be grateful for those who defend it.

I was proud to champion key capital budget projects for the 17th House District while also helping secure $24.7 million for worthy projects across Cuyahoga County.
These investments support parks, trails, cultural institutions, community centers, health care access, public safety, workforce development, and other local priorities, using available state resources while reducing the need for additional borrowing.
Sub. SB 315 has passed the Ohio House, and the Senate has concurred with the House’s Medicaid integrity reforms.
This legislation strengthens oversight, targets fraud, waste, and abuse, protects vulnerable Ohioans, and safeguards taxpayer dollars.
The Ohio House passed House Bill 645, legislation requiring periodic zero-based budgeting in state government.
Every taxpayer dollar should be justified, effective, and aligned with today’s priorities.

Thank you to Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche for helping lead the federal-state partnership to bring Medicaid fraudsters to justice here in Ohio.
Taxpayers deserve accountability, and Medicaid must be preserved for the truly vulnerable, not bad actors exploiting the system. I will continue working at the state level to strengthen oversight, protect taxpayer dollars, and ensure those who defraud the public are held accountable.
Today I testified before the House Oversight Committee’s Task Force on Defending Constitutional Rights and Exposing Institutional Abuses about vulnerabilities in Medicaid waiver programs.
Oversight matters. Accountability matters. Taxpayers deserve both.
