Today we honor Juneteenth, commemorating June 19, 1865, when news of freedom reached enslaved people in Texas. As we recognize this important day in our nation's history, we reflect on the progress made, celebrate freedom, and honor the strength and resilience of those who helped shape our communities.
We hope you'll join us for Juneteenth at the Spellman this Saturday for an evening of live music, food, vendors, activities, and family fun. Learn more at forneytx.gov/1057/Juneteenth-at-the-Spellman
