Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and honors the resilience, courage, and contributions of Black Americans. As we reflect on the meaning of freedom, we are reminded that violence and systemic barriers continue to disproportionately impact Black survivors of abuse and exploitation.

At Mosaic, we are honored to serve Black survivors and families, alongside survivors, refugees, and individuals from many backgrounds. We remain committed to helping survivors find safety, healing, and the opportunity to build futures defined by dignity, empowerment, and hope.

CAHND has partnered with Mosaic since 2017 and has made a difference in the lives of thousands of survivors. A huge thank you to the volunteers from for spending the day at Mosaic Family Services supporting our shelter residents and staff!

From organizing our attic and pantry, to assembling welcome baskets for clients, writing uplifting affirmation cards for the women in our shelter, and helping improve safety by purchasing batteries for our smoke detectors, your kindness and teamwork made a meaningful impact.

When volunteers show up with compassion and a willingness to help, it creates a more welcoming and supportive space for families rebuilding their lives. Thank you for making such a difference!
