I was proud to present a proclamation to the Roosevelt High School Baseball Team in recognizing their Central Section League championship win in 61 years.
This historic achievement did not happen overnight. Through years of hard work, perseverance, and belief in one another, these student-athletes helped bring a league title back to Roosevelt for the first time in more than six decades.
Congratulations to the players, coaches, families, and the entire Roosevelt community on an unforgettable season. You have made Southeast Fresno proud.

If you haven’t already, I encourage you to support our local businesses and visit LA Kitchen. They are just one of the many great small businesses that District 5 has to offer.

As we continue celebrating Pride Month, I would like to share some photos from last Friday’s Pride Flag Raising Ceremony at Fresno City Hall.
I was honored to join community members, allies, and fellow elected officials in recognizing the importance of fostering a Fresno where everyone feels welcomed, respected, and valued.
Thank you to everyone who helped organize this meaningful event and to all who continue to demonstrate our commitment to celebrating every community.
