As we close out AAPI Month, I want to give flowers to two incredible leaders in my life: Rufi Natarajan and Amatullah Con.
Rufi is truly one of one. She has been on the frontlines of building a more progressive and equitable society, and she is literally the jack of all trades. Iām grateful to know her and couldnāt ask for anyone better to be in my corner.
Amatullah is a precinct chair in HD 135, and we have practically grown up in politics together. She is an organizer, a leader, and just a great human being all around.
Rufi and Amatullah are not just leaders in the AAPI community. They are leaders for all of us.
As AAPI Month comes to a close, Iām thankful for the AAPI community leaders who make an impact in our lives every day and keep working to leave this world better than they received it.

What a privilege to attend and give remarks at Africa Day, presented by the Society for Africans in the Diaspora.
The night reminded us that the African diasporaās story has always been about connection across oceans, cultures, struggle, and triumph.
I also had the honor of meeting the great-grandson of W.E.B. Du Bois, the father of modern Pan-Africanism. A full circle moment rooted in legacy, history, and building bridges for where we go next.

Big congratulations to Adrian Reyna, Julio for RGV, Darlene Breaux, Staci Childs, and Montserrat Garibay on their runoff victories.
These leaders are ready to bring the fight to Austin for strong public schools, affordable healthcare, good jobs, and an economy that works for working families.
From the RGV to the Gulf Coast, to Central Texas and beyond, weāre organizing everywhere because every district has a responsibility to help Texas move forward.
The work continues. On to November, letās go dominate.

We pause to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country on this Memorial Day.
May their sacrifice never be forgotten, and may we carry their memory with gratitude, humility, and purpose.

Letās make sure we get Adrian through the runoff Tuesday, May 26, and send Kristian to Austin this November in one of the best State House flip opportunities in Texas.

Proud to introduce Kendra 4 CFISD, Cleveland Lane Jr., and Lesley for CFISD at the live podcast recording with Progress Texas and Cypress-Tomball Democrats.
Great connecting with community and hearing what our pro-public education majority is already doing since being elected on the Cypress-Fairbanks ISD school board.
The work isnāt over. November matters, and we have to stay locked in to protect our schools, support our educators, and keep moving Cy-Fair and Texas forward.

Proud to attend the Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerceās Business Expo and Luncheon as we celebrated 40 years of serving our community.
As a Chamber member and small business owner, I know small businesses in communities like Cy-Fair are the economic engine of Texas. And we must absolutely keep it this way.
Congrats Cy-Fair Chamber, President Leslie Ruzicka Martone, and staff on 40 years of being dope and wishing many more years of excellence!
Shoutout to THE Rise Gym for inviting me!

Spent time in Dallas campaigning and touring HD 100 to help re-elect my friend State Representative Venton Jones to the Texas Legislature. My guy is a fighter for public education, healthcare, and working families, and HD 100 deserves his leadership.
Texas runoff election dates:
Early Voting: May 18-22
Election Day: May 26
If you live in HD 100, make a plan to vote for Venton Jones!
