One of the things I heard from Southeast LA leaders yesterday in our meeting about the Lineage warehouse fire was that LA County could be a better partner in making sure residents get the air purifiers, masks and other resources they need in a disaster like this one.
Today I’m calling on the county to explore whether creating a stockpile of emergency supplies would help us protect residents and respond even faster when the next crisis occurs.

Pride Month is more than just a celebration— it’s a time to recognize the struggles the LGBTQ+ community has faced, and continue our fight for justice and equal rights for all.
And gay bars are more than just bars. Places like The Silver Fox are safe havens for people who have no where else to turn. They are the heart of the LGBTQ+ community.
Today I’m proud to join in the celebration for the Silver Fox in Long Beach as they mark their 45th anniversary, and look forward to many more years ahead.

Meeting with SELA city leaders this afternoon to discuss the latest on the Lineage warehouse fire.
The impacts of this emergency don’t stop at city borders, so we are locking arms to make sure residents have the most up-to-date info and resources.

My father Kenny was the youngest of seven boys who grew up without their father but became great fathers anyway.
Happy Father’s Day to all the great dads out there.

Not a day goes by that I don’t think about my dad, Kenneth Hahn.
He taught me and my brother so many important lessons about life and about service. We were lucky to have him as our dad.
Missing him a little extra today. Happy Father's Day ❤️

Had a great time watching Mexico win last night in Walnut Park 🇲🇽
When County of Los Angeles Department of Parks & Recreation asked where we should host these watch parties, I knew one had to come to Walnut Nature Park— and this community showed up!
Next up: A win against Czechia.

On June 19, 1865, the last group of enslaved people were notified of their freedom—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.
Today we celebrate freedom and the end of the most shameful time in our nation's history, and we continue in our fight for justice for all.

The San Pedro Chamber of Commerce has always been more than a great advocate for our local businesses— they’ve been a partner in strengthening San Pedro.
They’ve embraced solutions to homelessness like our Louis Dominguez Veterans Center. They have become the biggest champion of the Water Taxi between San Pedro and Long Beach. They always put our community first.
Congratulations to the San Pedro Chamber on 120 years!
